The Mission Committee collecting Emergency Clean Up Buckets until April 28th. Church World Service collects emergency kits for hurricane victims in the US and Puerto Rico, wildfire clean up in California, earthquake victims in Japan, monsoon flooding in Myanmar and assistance in Angola, Cuba, Syria and Venezuela.  There is a "collection depot" in the church vestry, as well as an inventory list of what is still needed.

The items most needed are:

50 ounce (or two 25 ounce) liquid laundry detergent;

16-28 ounce liquid disinfectant dish soap;

heavy duty, waterproof (latex-free), non-surgical dishwashing gloves;

12-16 ounce bottle of household cleaner that can be mixed with water (no spray bottles) (ie. concentrated lysol);

6-9 ounce bottle of non-aerosol insect repellent.

Transforming communities around the globe CWS has worked for seven decades with one goal: building a world where there is enough for all. We affirm the power of individuals and communities to take ownership of their future. We meet them right where they are, helping them create solutions they can maintain – and build on. That means a refugee family who is able to start a new life. Or someone rebuilding after disaster finds safety with dignity.
